fudgey cupcakes + spooky orange icing

Ooey gooey cupcakes! Was totally in the mood for some cupcake baking this weekend and made these spooky little gems. The cake portion is Chef Chloe’s Haunted Halloween Layer Cake. I simply cut all the ingredients in half + filled muffin cups about 2/3 full to yield 12 cupcakes. For the icing, I used her coconut frosting [sans coconut flakes] and added cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and orange food coloring. The result was a super fudgey delicious chocolate cake with sweet + spicy frosting!
